chocolate times a hundred cookies
3:14 AMAssalamualaikum and hello.
I have a recipe to share with all of you, if you want to. The original base recipe is a chocolate chip cookie recipe and then I have leftover chocolate and other little bips and bops of baking supplies from my mom's mega raya baking so I add them all up in this one chocolate filled recipe , hence the name chocolate times a hundred. Because mates, there's a lot of chocolate in here. A LOT. Here we go. (also editted some measurings then the original because we all need to cut down on some of that sugar haha why am i like this)
Chocolate Times A Hundred | Permata AZ
Ingredients
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup cocoa powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup / 250 grams softened butter
1/2 cup softened cream cheese (also like half a block of philly's)
4 tablespoons white sugar
4 tablespoons packed brown sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
4/5 cups of baking dark chocolate, molten
1/2 cup or less pumpkin seeds
desired amount of semisweet/dark chocolate chips
other desired nuts or seeds bc lets be real, the possibilities are endless
4 or more packs of Hershey's dark chocolate (to top it off)
Directions
!Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C)!
1. Melt the chocolate beforehand and make sure its silky. (add a little bit of oil/butter if you need too). Add in pumpkin seeds and other nuts or seeds you've decided to add in.
2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder and baking soda.
3.Beat the butter, cream cheese, white sugar, and brown sugar with an electric mixer in a large bowl until smooth. Beat in one egg until completely incorporated. Beat in the last egg along with the vanilla.
4. Mix/fold/ stir the mixture in (3) with the flour mixture in (2), get them mixed up together to form a batter, basically. Then add the molten chocolate and pumpkin seed mixture and also chocolate chips to the batter. It might look a little like cake batter and if its too watery, add some flour, gradually, pls dont mess up its irreversible. It'll still look like a cake batter but with more texture and sturdier aight lads.
5. Now, a normal human would take a teaspoon and drop it little by little and you could do that really, its the right thing to do. OR you could be me and literally just scoop some on a wooden spoon and drop it on a baking tray that is lined with a baking sheet. Try your best to make a round shape using this method. It'll come out square shaped anyways. Top it off with some dark chocolate , like in this picture.
6. Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, if you're using the teaspoon method. If you're using the giant wooden spoon method it'll take about 30 to 40 minutes. When its done, let it chill for a 30 minutes. Or if you're a rebel, several seconds. Also if it's not your desired texture(as in not crispy enough) just continue baking it till it is. Max is about 50 minutes. And remember while its reaching thermal equilibrium(cooling), its still baking, a little bit.
Okay thats it! If you do try this make sure to tweet me or tag me in whatever places, if you want me to know about it. OR keep quiet about it and eat it all in your bedroom while scrolling thru tumblr. Either will do.
Talk later.
